Nigerian Police Gives New Warning To Parents Against Their Children (see)

Parents have been advised by the Police in Bauchi to relay informations to their children on the dangers of accepting “sweets, chocolates and biscuit” gifts from unknown persons.

DSP Haruna Mohamme, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state disclosed this in Bauchi on Wednesday that the advice had become essential to safeguard
children from people with evil intentions.

He said.

“Parents are advised to closely monitor their children, know their peer group and also discourage them from collecting gift items such as sweets, biscuits and chocolates from strangers ,as these are the easiest ways to initiate them into secret cults and other social vices,”
The spokesperson also identified frequent attendance of ‘parties’ by youth as another easy means of getting initiated into cultism. (NAN)
