This is really sad, though i don't have the full details on this student yet, I learnt this student who goes by the name Rita, was knocked down by a car , while trying to cross the school gate yesterday morning.
I used to know of a pedestrian bridge by the school gate, during my days in the school, wondering what happened to that bridge... and recently the opening of the road divide in front of the school that would have allowed motorist to slow down as they approach the school, has also been removed, making the front of the school a complete express road.
Pls can Uniben authority liaise with the federal govt to build Speed Breakers, or alternatively, restore the pedestrian bridge and insist students use them? This is really painful to see this student pass on like this. May her soul rest in peace. see graphic photo after the cut....
